We are producers of woody ornamental plants for the garden and home landscape. Our plant selection is primarily evergreen conifers, ranging from true dwarf varieties to those that will become towering trees. We do grow a nice assortment of Japanese maples, hydrangeas, viburnums, spireas, some native plants and a smattering of perennials as well. We grow a wide variety of species, and produce plants in containers from quart size to 7-gallon tub, and have thousands more growing directly in the ground attaining specimen size. Container plants occupy 7 greenhouses in 11,000 square feet of climate modified growing area; the nursery is spread out over 14 acres.
Fast becoming a treat for the eyes, our display of spring blooming daffodils is growing every year. Approximately 10,000 daffodils have been planted to delight the senses. Beginning in February and extending into early May, almost 50 varieties come into progressive waves of glorious bloom and fragrance. Keyed to be of interest during the spring buying season, the daffodils quickly dispel the last of the wintertime blues you might be harboring. The flowers are particular favorites of the children who visit us.
The nursery itself is designed to showcase our offerings, with flowering gardens featured throughout. A pleasant stroll around the grounds and trails will take one past older examples of what we grow—and many of the mature plants serve as a source of cutting wood used to produce the youngsters. Other plants arrive as unrooted cuttings from leading gardens and arboreta in the eastern US; still more come from some of the best plant grafters in the nation.
